High Potential NEPSAC 2028's

There are a number of high potential Class of 2028 student athletes planning to play high level NEPSAC basketball in the upcoming winter season. Here are profiles on some of those players:

Luca Balducci (2028) 5-11 point guard, Loomis Chaffee (CT) - Balducci is shifty guard and a shot maker. He shows toughness on both ends.

Ernesto Ballesteros (2028) 6’5 forward, Kingswood-Oxford School (CT) – Ballesteros is a punishing rebounder, who can also stretch the floor with his catch and shoot ability. He can finish around the rim and does a great job passing out a rebound into transition. He is an intriguing young prospect who is going to make huge strides over this upcoming year.

Mekhai Bovell-Holmes (2028) 6’2 guard/wing, St Marks School (MA)- New to St Marks School (MA) this fall, played a lot of minutes at Newton North High (MA) this past winter. Good size and athleticism for his age. Really active defender who finds a way to get steals on and off the ball. Good scorer in getting downhill and in transition. Plays Mass Commanders for AAU. Adriel Cantave (2028) 6’1 point guard, St George's School (RI) - Cantave hits big shots on the move, Cantave has a poise, an advanced feel and playmaking ability. Cantave will be more than ready to contribute from day one.

Miller Chen (2028) 6’3 small forward, Marianapolis Prep (CT) - Chen is a smooth and versatile wing, who has a quick first step and solid outside jumper. Can score in a variety of ways, and has good size and athleticism for his age. Poised to make an impactful first season of growth and development. 

Noah Corso (2028) 6'5 small forward, Buckingham Browne & Nichols - Corso is a versatile,  2 way player who has the ability to score at all 3 levels. His ability to adapt and excel in various roles makes him a formidable matchup problem for any opponent. Corso's relentless drive and on-court presence not only puts points on the board but also elevates the play of those around him. Definitely a great prospect to keep an eye on as he develops.

Kyle “Bright” Delves (2028) 6’3 point guard, Mt St Charles Prep (RI) - Delves is known for his explosive athleticism. His ability to penetrate the lane and finish with either hand sets him apart as a dynamic scorer and playmaker. During his time at Juanita Sanchez High, he led the team in all major statistical categories, averaging an impressive 24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals per game. His leadership was instrumental in guiding the team to the Rhode Island Division 3 State Championship. Currently, “Bright” holds an offer from Fairfield University and plays AAU basketball for Team New England. With his high major potential, he is poised to make an impact this coming season. 

Krish Dodani (2028) 5’11, 170lb, point guard, Greens Farms Academy (CT) - A dynamic point guard known for his exceptional instincts and versatile skills. A scoring threat at all three levels with a knack for setting up his teammates. On defense, his high basketball IQ and relentless work ethic make him a disruptive force. Maintains a stellar academic record and embodies a team-first attitude.

Quintin Eason (2028) 6’4 wing, St Paul’s School (NH) - Eason averaged 11ppg and 6rpg for as a freshman playing varsity Cheverus High in Portland (ME). Very athletic and skilled young player for whom the sky is the limit. Has the tools, the IQ, and the work ethic to immediately carve out a role in the NEPSAC—with 4 years ahead of him. Luke Everitt (2028) 6’5, 200lb, small forward, Avon Old Farms School (CT) - A repeat freshman forward. He is a lefty, lanky forward who can stretch the floor. While he will need to get stronger, he has the tools to grow into a legitimate college prospect.

Ray Farmer (2028) 5’10 point guard, St Paul’s School (NH) –Farmer is a lefty point guard with skills and IQ far beyond his age. Can make plays, shoot it consistently from deep, and get to the rim. Son of a coach who will become a name to remember for college coaches in the coming years. Committed and tenacious worker, who will learn and grow quickly in the NEPSAC. 3.8 gpa

Trae Ford (2028) 6-2 wing, Loomis Chaffee School (CT) -  Ford will bring a good skill set in his attempt to be impactful at  NEPSAC Class A and Founders League level of pre-college competition.

Conor Greaney (2028) 5'10 point guard, Tabor Academy (MA) - Greaney is a tough and fearless guard that plays with the grit and poise of a much more experienced player. On the offensive side of the ball he is a 3-level scorer who is adept at creating opportunities for his teammates and exploiting any advantages. Defensively, Greaney takes pride in frustrating, stifling and disrupting the primary ball handlers and decision makers of the opposition.  Plays AAU with Team New England.

Andrew Green (2028) 5'11 point guard, Buckingham Browne & Nichols - Green is a tough and talented freshman with good upside. His passing and ball-handling skills allow him to dictate the pace of the game with ease, setting up his teammates with great opportunities to score. Green’s fearless approach and relentless drive make him a formidable competitor. With a perfect blend of skill and grit, Green is poised to make a significant impact as he continues to develop. 

Xavier Hernandez-Newton (2028) 5’8 point guard, Kingswood-Oxford School (CT).. Hernandez-Newton is a true point guard with a strong and heady style of play. Learning and competing against some of the best guards in the NEPSAC every day in practice, he brings experience and knowledge to the court that is uncommon for his age. His primary focus is on facilitating and making his teammates better, utilizing his vision and playmaking ability to create scoring opportunities. He's a relentless worker who is committed to his craft year-round, and his poise and leadership on the court set him apart. Plays AAU with CT Swarm.

KJ Hurd (2028) 6’1 point guard, Nobles and Greenough School (MA) - Hurd is an explosive lead guard with a high motor that matches his athleticism. He handles the ball well and has a knack for getting downhill and finishing at the rim or kicking out to open shooters. He has good shooting mechanics that translate to being an above average shooter as he continues to work and grow. Elite on-ball defender who plays with physicality and tenacity. Has a nose for the ball and tends to block multiple shots per game with his instincts and leaping ability. Has leadership intangibles that few players his age possess. 

Hermann Carl Kone (2028) 6’10 forward, CATS Academy (MA) - Has made great strides since coming from the Ivory Coast this past October. A mobile big with skill. Can shoot the 3 and finish strong at the rim. High-Major potential. Plays AAU with Expressions Elite.

Lincoln Malcore (2028) 6’8 power forward, Kents Hill School (ME). Malcore is a big body with great length. As an incoming freshman, Lincoln holds his own quite well against much older and more mature basketball players. He is a big threat on both the defensive and offensive boards, pinning shots to the backboard and guarding the rim tenaciously. Malcore has a bright future ahead of him and has a great mid range jump shot to accompany his inside the paint scoring abilities. This young man will be in the NEPSAC for several years, so keep your eyes on him as he will develop into one of the best and most formidable basketball players in New England.

Caiden Manning (2028) 6’0 guard, Northfield Mount Hermon (MA) - Manning comes to NMH from Shelburn Falls, MA where he was a valued member of the Frontier High School Varsity basketball team, as well as, a developing star on his 15U Middlesex Magic AAU squad. He is a young talent with a growing frame. His shot making ability separates himself from his peers and he understands what his strengths are. Manning is a natural leader with an elite work ethic. 

Will Nunes (2028) 6'1 guard, Austin Prep (MA) Nunes is a high level catch and shoot player. Has great understanding of the game and needs little space to get shot off. Incredible work ethic as he develops shot fake and middle game, Long wing span allows him to pressure the ball and also get in passing lanes. Will play big minutes for Austin Prep and should prove to be one of the top marksmen in NEPSAC over time.

Malachi Odugbela (2028) 6’4, 160lbs, guard, St Andrew’s School (RI) - Odugbela is a highly skilled big guard. His father played at St Andrew’s and the University of Hartford.

Jackson Perri (2028) 6’1point guard, Roxbury Latin School (MA) - Dynamic primary ball-handler with two years of varsity NEPSAC experience. A skilled and strong ballhandler, Perri gets to paint and is at his best creating for his teammates. A strong athlete, he's a consistent finisher in transition. Dynamic in the pick-n-rol, makes mature reads. Defensively he's a bulldog and translates his high compete level to that end on the floor consistently. 

Aidan Prunty (2028) 6’1 point guard, Kimball Union Academy (NH) - A talented freshman with huge upside, Prunty will certainly find himself as the Wildcats floor general in the years to come. In the meantime, he will learn from the upper classmen but this is someone to keep an eye on at the college level! Plays AAU for Albany City Rocks

Jahmez Reaves (2028) 6'2,180 lbs guard, The Frederick Gunn School (CT). After an impressive spring Jahmez is trending as one of the top ranked guards in his class. A powerful guard who is known for his exceptional passing skills and court vision. Attacks the rim and showcases impressive scoring touch. Size and defensive versatility enables him to guard multiple positions effectively. Jahmez demonstrates a knack for elevating the play of his teammates and controlling the tempo of the game. Plays AAU with City Rocks Albany EYBL. 

Jack Rönndahl (2028) 6’8 forward, Taft School (CT) - Rönndahl has an elite drive game, with good feel and touch. He is mature, competitive and a natural. High level student with high expectations as dad played professional ball in Europe. Plays for the Swedish National 15u team

Evan Seitz 6’5 small forward, St Luke’s School (CT) - Seitz runs the floor extremely well. He also has a soft touch around the rim and can step out to three. He has great hands and rebounds the ball at a high level. 

Maxxwell Thorpe (2028) 6’8 forward, Northfield Mount Hermon (MA) – Thorpe’s potential is sky high. Already 6’8”, he runs the floor hard, rebounds and blocks shots, and competes at a very high level. Having transitioned from playing soccer, he is smoothly coordinated and has footwork well beyond his years. Plays AAU for Middlesex Magic 15u.

Braylon Washington (2028) 6’3 guard, CATS Academy (MA)- Has an impressive past season leading the CATS Varsity team 26 ppg/8 rpg and garnering 1st team all SENE honors. Very productive big guard who can score at all three levels. Plays AAU with Expressions Elite.
